Jim Meeks and Adam Berman to Speak at the NTLA Annual Conference – February 2019

Jim Meeks and Adam Berman of MTAG Services will present at the 2019 NTLA Annual Meeting and Conference. This year’s event is being held at the Miami Edition Hotel in Miami Beach, FL. Jim and Adam will host a session titled “Tax Lien Servicing Essentials”, on Thursday, February 28. They will discuss what to track, what to report, what to stratify, what to work out, and what to write off. They will also address how to evaluate the options to outsource servicing of tax liens, or service internally, and how great servicing can enhance tax lien yields.

On Friday, March 1, Jim will present the NTLA Legislative Committee Report. Every Year 150,000 new bills are introduced in America. The NTLA Legislative Committee monitors the bills that are most impactful to the tax lien industry. Jim will review the NTLA Legislative Committee’s position and advocacy efforts on the highest priority bills. Committee members will discuss their regional bills and any concerns or calls to action.

Jim Meeks is the President and CEO of MTAG Services, with offices in SC and VA. Mr. Meeks has over 32 years of experience in the real estate industry with 24 of those years in specialty asset servicing. He founded MTAG Services in 2010. MTAG is the nation’s premiere provider of specialized financial asset servicing. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Tax Lien Association. He has served as the past President, Secretary, and Treasurer of the Association. Jim currently serves as the Chairman of the NTLA Legislative Committee.

Adam Berman is the Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of MTAG Services. Mr. Berman has over 20 years of IT experience and previously worked at Mooring Tax Asset Group and The Middleware Company, an enterprise software development training and consulting organization. He graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Math and Computer Science.
